The Digitoll concept has three main components and is based on the following key principles:
- Information is submitted digitally, either before or at the latest upon border crossing.
- The Customs Authority processes and assesses the information for risks before or at the latest upon arrival.
- Border crossing is automated as much as possible.
What does DIGITOLL involve?
The new solution means that it will no longer be possible to declare goods up to 10 days after border crossing. This ensures that the Customs Authority receives the necessary information about goods before or at the latest upon border crossing. A requirement is introduced for digital information on transport and import goods prior to crossing the Norwegian border, which will allow for faster border crossings.
What does this mean for Bring’s customers?
As a Bring customer, you will generally experience minimal impact, provided we receive the necessary customs information well in advance of the border crossing into Norway. If you are affected, Bring will contact you before the changes take effect.
